First I’d like to thank everyone for their support and kind words in regards to my Mom and her passing away. Thank you very much it really means a lot to me. With the riding season slowing down we have some great upcoming events: We will have a promotional both at the Veloswap this Saturday Oct. 25. We will be sharing a booth with our club members Marie and Marcus who are the respective organizers of the Blue River Century Ride (for the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation) and the Road to Victory Century Ride (for the Davis Phinney Foundation). Congratulations to both of them for the tremendous amount of effort they put into these great causes!
Also, we will be located next to our friends from the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure Charity Ride. The Colorado branch of this organization has become one of the most successful cycling events in the country for the ADA. Congratulations to Todd and everyone that volunteers for the Tour de Cure. Stop by and say hello if your at the Veloswap.
End of the Season Party!!! Our friends at Boulder Beer will play host as we celebrate the end of another great year of cycling. Mark your calendar for November 11 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Boulder Beer. Come on out and share the good times of this year with friends and find out about what’s on tap for 2009!
The next BCC Monthly Meeting will be held at REI on December 10 at 7:00 p.m.. You don’t want to miss this one as our keynote speaker will be Bobby from Rocky Mounts talking about the new Valmont Park Project. Bobby has put tremendous energy and time into this project for the last 8 years so it will be great to get his perspective and insight in regards to where the project is at and how it will be developing in the future.
Our Saturday morning rides continue throughout the fall/winter season thanks to our friends at Bicycle Village. If the weather turns bad, meet at 10:30 at Bicycle Village for a spin class at the Y conducted by George that is a great way to get a work out!
