Annual Colorado Summer Trip

Each summer, Boulder Cycling Club makes a mid-summer destination trip to escape the heat and ride in the beautiful Colorado mountains.  Past years have included Garfield and Pitkin Counties (Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Basalt and Aspen) and Summit County (Silverthorne, Dillon, Keystone, Frisco, and Breckenridge).  We have also been known to occasionally travel out of state such as to the Black Hills of South Dakota. We typically will make a long weekend of it and schedule fun rides each day for all to enjoy–relaxing, scenic rides for those wanting a recreational pace and challenging climbs for those that want to test their fitness level at altitude. Of course, there is plenty of other fun activities for you to choose and we will point you in the right direction.

Lastly, no Boulder Cycling Club event would be complete without after ride celebrations and libations and fantastic meals shared together. Join us for this great getaway filled with fun, laughter, and friendship and learn why this event always sells out quickly!

This year we will be making our inaugural trip to beautiful Crested Butte at the peak of wildflower season: July 14-16th weekend. We have reserved the entire Nordic Inn to be our “home base” including free parking, fire pit, hot tub, bike storage room, and breakfast daily.  We have some excellent mountain, gravel, and/or road biking routes planned as well as fun times in town. You are not going to want to miss this trip.

If registration is open, visit the SHOP for more information and to register for this year’s trip.
