Please keep in perspective safety first when we venture out onto the roadways of Boulder. I got a chilling reminder of this as I was driving back from Longmont and as I crested the hill on 36 at the Broadway intersection all I could see was a multitude of police cars surrounding a very large dump truck and as I slowly crept by sticking out from under the back tire was a mangled bicycle. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of Michael McCutcheon who was tragically killed last Sat while crossing the intersection from Broadway onto Hwy 36. So as your out there on the roadways, bike paths and mountain trails keep your focus and be safe first.

On another note we like to express our support for Steve Crider (our Thursday night ride leader)  and his daughter who has gone through a second kidney transplant and unfortunately this one did not work out either. You are in our thoughts and we wish you the best.

Remember this weekend is the Blue River Century up in Keystone and I’ll be heading up Friday night so i can be up bright and early at 6:00 am to help with registration.Congratulations to Marie for putting it together and for all the folks that are helping her out. The lance Armstrong is a great foundation with emphasis on SURVIVORSHIP! For more info on the ride go to www.bluerivercentury.com. I’ll report back next week on the ride.

We are looking at rolling out a Mountain Biking oriented ride in July for the women in the club.
If your interested please email us at info@bouldercyclingclub.com. Some of you remember the Single Track Sisters and this would be a similar ride. Friday night is what the schedule leaning towards now—any takers???

For all our rides go to the website and check out the calendar.

Hope you have a great weekend and remember to be safe out there!

Thanks,
