We are having some beautiful weather right now and the fall leaves are changing in addition to crystal clear blue sky days this may well be the best time to ride all year long! This past weekend I took a few cruises just within the city and it never ceases to amaze me how many bike trails there are in Boulder. In addition, most roads have a bike lane so if you do venture out onto the road it’s on a designated lane.

On Sunday I stopped at Amante’s in North Boulder and fueled up on a Cappacino Frappo—it’s an iced version of a cappacino. Very refreshing and full of fuel. As I sat at the outdoor patio soaking in the sun I thought about how I first thought of starting the BFTCC about this time last year. In an attempt to find cyclists that ride at my level and to meet new people the idea of the club was born! No where else in Boulder is the cycling mania more evident then at Amante’s yet I found it intimidating to meet people. The club has introduced me to some great folks, got me motivated to ride more then I’ve ever ridden before and really charged me up and into a true cycling fan. I hope as the club grows and expands more people will feel as I do and come to love the sport of cycling as much as I now do. So get out there and take advantage of this weather. See you out there on the  bike!
